Cat Coronavirus Diary – Day 2

Hello Humans:

The irony of my morning walk down the middle of the road with no one around. All of you inside and me outside. How did that happen? Do you feel vulnerable inside waiting for nothing to happen to you? The most powerful animal ever to populate the Earth brought low by one of the smallest organisms.

Cats can provide comfort at times like this. Stroking us will make you feel better, hearing us purr calms you down, and watching us sleeping upside down with our paws in the air makes you happy. We can get you through this.

Contrast us with dogs whose owners have to take them for walks into the outside where danger lurks for the human on every surface. Dogs also bark and whine whereas cats miaow ever so quietly. Making lots of noise is never a good idea.

Cats can get you through this humans – we do this every day for our whole lives and have done for centuries – you can learn from us.  Tune into the great cat unconsciousness and take it one step at a time.
